Orchids as far as the eye can see
First launched in 1999, the "International Orchid World" of the the Deutsche Orchideen-Gesellschaft e.V. (D.O.G.) will occur for the twenty-second year in the spring of 2020 as part of the "Dresdner Ostern" (Easter in Dresden) In recent years, it has become the largest annual orchid show in Europe. The largest and most popular public fair in Dresden traditionally takes place each year just before Easter in the Dresden exhibition center.

The "International Orchid World" is the highlight within the wide range of offers in the areas of family and leisure, garden, animals, handicrafts and spring market, presented in ever new pictures, framed by colourful water games and competitions of high florist art. The stream of visiting orchid enthusiasts continues to grow. A hot tip is to visit during the quieter morning and evening hours as well as Friday . Dresden, the capitol of Saxony nurtures its traditional position as the center of horticulture, botany, and orchid culture with this event, dating from the beginning of the 19th century (since 1829).
